VERO FETE

Privacy policy

Effective October 14, 2026 · VERO FETE is a trade name of Akoji LLC, a Texas limited liability company.

  1. Who we are

VERO FETE is a trade name of Akoji LLC, a Texas limited liability company. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Akoji LLC.

We run live photo galleries for event photographers. During an event, the photographer's camera sends each photo to us, and guests open the gallery on their phones by scanning a QR code or following a link.

This policy says what we collect from photographers, from guests and about the people in the photos, why, for how long, and how to ask us about it. It covers verofete.com, app.verofete.com and every gallery we serve.

  2. What we collect

From photographers. Your email address and name, through our sign-in provider. What you set up: your studio's name, website, logo and the social links you add; your projects and events, with their names, dates, time zone, any PIN and any watermark; the email addresses, and any names, of the hosts and second shooters you invite; and your cameras' names, brands and serial numbers. The camera login we create for you, whose password we store encrypted. The photos your camera sends, with each file's name, the time it was taken and the camera's serial number, which we read from the file.

From guests. Viewing a gallery needs no account, and we do not ask who you are. If a gallery has a PIN, your browser keeps a session for that gallery, valid for 24 hours, and a random id we use to count wrong PIN tries; neither says who you are.

To download a photo or keep favorites, you sign in. Then we keep your email address and name, your favorites, a record of each download, the galleries you open while signed in (so you can find them again), and any picks you send to the photographer. If a photographer invites you as a host, we keep the email address they gave us.

About the people in the photos. The photos show the people in them. We do not identify anyone in a photo, and we do not read faces (see Face recognition). The copies a gallery shows are smaller and carry none of the camera's data. The original file, which a signed-in guest can download, is the camera's own file: it keeps what the camera wrote into it, such as the time, the camera's serial number and, if the camera records it, the place the photo was taken.

From every visitor. Like any website, our servers log each request: what was asked for, when, your IP address and your browser's description. When you write to us, we keep your message and your address.

  3. Roles and responsibilities

The photographer decides what to shoot, which photos to show and whom to invite. For the photos, and for the hosts and second shooters a photographer invites, we process personal data on the photographer's behalf and on their instructions: the photographer is the controller, and we are their processor or service provider.

The photographer is responsible for having the consent of the people they photograph, of the event's host, and of a parent or guardian for any child in a photo, wherever the law requires it. If you are in a photo and want it taken down, ask the photographer first; you can also use "Report a photo" under the gallery, or write to us.

For photographer and guest accounts, our websites and our logs, we decide how personal data is used, and we are the controller.

  4. How we use it

To run VERO FETE: to receive your camera's photos, make the gallery copies, show them to guests, let signed-in guests download photos and keep favorites, and send the emails the service needs, such as invitations, a notice before a gallery you favorited or downloaded from closes, and notices about your account and events.

To keep VERO FETE safe: to stop abuse, limit wrong PIN tries, find and fix faults, and keep a record of important account actions.

To answer you when you write to us, to understand how the site is used from counts that do not identify you (see Cookies and analytics), to meet the law, and to protect our rights and the rights of others.

We do not sell personal data, we do not use it for targeted advertising, and we show no ads.

  5. Face recognition

VERO FETE does no face recognition and no other biometric processing today. We do not scan faces, build face templates, or match a face to a name or to a social-media profile.

If we offer a way for you to find your own photos with a selfie in the future, it will be opt-in: it will run only when you choose to use it, with your consent, and we will announce it in this policy before it starts. The data it needs will be deleted after the search.

  6. Storage and security

Our servers, database and photo storage run on Google Cloud in the United States. Our web pages are served by Vercel.

Photos are stored privately. A gallery shows them through links that expire after a short time. Each studio's records are kept apart by rules in the database itself. Camera passwords are stored encrypted. Our application logs mask email addresses, names, PINs and other personal details and shorten IP addresses; our hosting platform's own request log keeps the full IP address, and the logs of our camera upload servers keep the camera's login name, its IP address and the names of the files it sends.

Our pages travel over HTTPS. A camera's upload is encrypted when the camera uses FTPS; plain FTP, which some cameras offer, is not encrypted on its way to us.

A gallery opens for anyone who has its link or QR code, unless the photographer sets a PIN. Share a link with the people you mean it for.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of your data. If a breach affects your personal data, we will tell you as the law requires.

  7. How long we keep it

Galleries. By default, guests can open a gallery for 30 days after the event ends. The photographer can move that date earlier or later. After it, guests see a page saying the gallery has closed. Closing a gallery deletes nothing: the photos stay with the photographer, and the hosts the photographer invited can still see them.

Studios. A studio's records and photos stay while the studio is open.

When a photographer deletes their studio, it closes at once, and they have 30 days to change their mind. Then we delete their sign-in account, their camera password, their cameras, their social links and the photos in no event, and replace their name and email address on their account. We keep a bare record with the camera login name we made from their name, so no new studio is given it. Other studios keep what is their own record, such as this person's email address on a team list or a host list, the picks this person sent them and the photos this person took at those studios' events. An event that a host still holds stays, with its photos and the studio's name and logo, until its last host leaves or deletes their account; then we delete it, and the studio's name, website and logo go with the last one. Events no host holds are deleted with their photos.

Guest accounts. Your account stays until you delete it, from the account menu in any gallery. Your favorites and download records stay until then, or until the event they belong to is removed (see Studios above). Picks you sent to a photographer stay with that photographer, with your email address, as part of their records.

Logs. Our request, application and camera upload server logs in Google Cloud Logging are kept for 30 days, then deleted.

Backups and records. Deleted data can remain in our database backups, and deleted files in our storage, for a short time, until they are replaced or expire. We keep a bare record that an account existed and our log of important actions on it, for security and to meet the law. Our own mailbox keeps the notices our system sent us about an account, such as the one sent when a studio is created, with the person's name and email address.

  8. Who processes it

A few companies help us run VERO FETE. Each gets what its job needs and handles it under its own privacy terms.

Clerk runs our sign-in: it holds your email address, your name and your sign-in sessions, and sends sign-in codes. If you choose Continue with Google, Google tells Clerk your name, email address and profile picture. Your Google password stays with Google. Google Cloud runs our servers, database, photo storage and camera upload servers in the United States, and keeps our logs. Vercel serves our web pages and runs Web Analytics. Zoho, through its ZeptoMail service, sends our emails.

We list a new company here before it starts processing personal data. We may also share personal data when the law requires it, to protect someone's safety or our rights, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business, under the protections of this policy.

  9. Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop a use of it you object to. Write to hello@verofete.com from the address on your account. We may need to confirm who you are before we act, and we answer within the time the law sets.

Some of it you can do yourself. A photographer edits the studio's details in Settings and deletes the studio in Settings, under Account. A guest deletes their account from the account menu in any gallery.

If your data is in a photographer's photos, or a photographer gave it to us, the photographer decides about it. We pass your request to them and help them answer it.

Using these rights will not change how we treat you. If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom or Canada, your local law gives you these rights, and you can complain to your data protection authority (in Canada, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada).

  10. US state privacy laws

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for targeted advertising or for profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects.

Texas. Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, a Texas resident can ask us to confirm whether we process their personal data, to see it, correct it, delete it and get a copy, and to opt out of its sale, targeted advertising and profiling, none of which we do. If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying to our answer. We will tell you the outcome and, if we still decline, how to complain to the Texas Attorney General.

Other states. If you live in another US state with a privacy law that applies to us, you have the rights it gives you. Write to us to use them.

  11. International transfers

VERO FETE is run from the United States, and our servers are there (Vercel delivers our pages through its worldwide network). If you use it from another country, your data is transferred to and processed in the United States, whose law may protect it less than the law where you live.

Where the law requires it, such as the EU or UK GDPR, we will use a recognised safeguard for the transfer, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

  12. Children

Photographer accounts are for people 18 and over. Guests must be at least 13 to sign in. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if you believe a child has signed in, tell us and we will delete the account.

Children appear in event photos. The photographer is responsible for a parent's or guardian's consent wherever the law requires it. A parent or guardian who wants a photo of their child taken down can ask the photographer, use "Report a photo" under the gallery, or write to us.

  13. Cookies and analytics

Clerk, our sign-in provider, sets the cookies that keep you signed in, when you sign in to download, to keep favorites or to run a studio. Viewing a gallery without signing in, and reading the pages of verofete.com, sets no sign-in cookie.

When you arrive through one of our links that carries a source, such as the link under every gallery, we set one first-party cookie, vf_src, for one week. It holds one word, such as "gallery" or "home", and nothing about who you are. If you create a studio that week, we save the word with your account, so we know which link brought you.

Vercel Web Analytics counts page views. It uses no third-party cookies and does not follow you across other sites. It records the page, the site you came from, and your rough location, browser and device type. Before a gallery's address leaves your browser, we replace its private part and drop everything after it.

A gallery also sends us how quickly it loaded; the report carries no name, address or gallery link. We use no advertising cookies.

  14. Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we post the new version here and change the date at the top. For a material change, we also email photographers and signed-in guests at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using VERO FETE after that, the new version applies to you.
